I’m just here to make you cry on this fine day.
My sister’s hubby has been deployed since March (seriously, just a few days before the Covid lockdown). This past weekend he came home ♥️ The thing that made it EXTRA special was the fact that he got to surprise their super sweet 2.5 year old, Sophie.
After the reunion, it was like the part in The Parent Trap where Hallie/Annie kept saying “dad” every 3 words because she missed saying it. 😭
I could write a novel on how amazing this family is (and I’m not biased or anything 😜), but to sum things up, I’m just going to leave Laura’s words here (because I couldn’t have said it any better) –
“If love gave us dollars, we’d be billionaires.
Deployment has its {many} hard times, but the reunion?? I wouldn’t trade those butterflies of anticipation for anything. So thankful for OUR soldier and the many still deployed to keep our country great. 🇺🇸”
