It’s spring in Athens!

There was a reason I didn’t go to UGA (other than the fact that my SAT score wasn’t high enough…). It was FAR too big for me. I came from a small town in South Georgia where my high school graduating class was 31 people. To move from that to a giant SEC school? No thanks.

However, I LOVE Athens. There is just something about it that makes me smile. Is it the fact that the school revolves around football? Possibly. (Although I’ll always be an ACC gal. Go noles.) Is it the hustle and bustle of everyone around the city while also having that small town feel? That is a strong possibility. Those things are so fun to me, but I think the thing that I love about it the most is that it is just. so. beautiful.

So when it was time for Dakoda to graduate, his girlfriend (who I had taken pictures of a year prior) knew I would totally be down. The three of us walked around campus for about 2 hours one spring day to take his college graduation pictures. We talked about life, where they’re planning to live after graduations, their future plans. All the things.

Laid back sessions like this are some of my favorites.

My dream is for everyone to know that they are deeply and wonderfully made, which is why photography is not only a business but a passion. My goal during our time together is to create images that feel like you and not someone you want to be. Because you. are. enough.
